45th RAK – 13 Oct 2016; 11:30 am (1st attempt)
- Food Town, Huffmister and Cypress North Houston…my favorite spot. As I entered the store I recognized an older gentleman. He recognized me as well. His name is Larry and we recognized each other from my 17th RAK back on 9 Jun 2016. He is the 86-year old gentleman that told me he wouldn’t accept the RAK because he felt there was someone in the store with a greater need than him. I ended up being lead to Elizabeth Knowles. As I was delivering my RAK, he turned the corner and helped me ministered to Elizabeth as well. I left saying Praise the Lord. Anyway back to yesterday, he told me that he knew what I was in the store to do. And told me that he just left the hospital, he showed me his wrist band. He said as he was leaving the parking lot, he saw an older woman being pushed in a wheelchair by a younger woman. They looked to be mother and daughter. But he said he could not figure out, why he could not get the older lady’s image out of his head. It then dawned on him it was because she looked like the lady that took care of him when her was a little boy. He says that he figured she as probably gone by now, after all he is 86 and that would make the woman 126-year old. It has always bothered him, how he was not able to tell her how much she meant to him growing up. He said that he had $100 with him and got out of his car and walked over to them and ask them to accept this on her behalf. He was smiling from ear-to-ear. Only God can then put both of us together 20 minutes later, and over 4-months after our initial meeting. And now we were both in the same place at same time. Only God!!
