116th RAK – 1 Feb 2018, Parking Lot RAK.
- This was a different, unexpected RAK this day. God says, “Let Me do a new thing.” Praise His Holy Name. I will always, always, always allow Him to do a new thing with me. This time, I had just dropped my son, Korbin off at his Friday Night Chess Tournament. He has been playing for about 3 ½ years, since he was 7 and has gotten pretty good (with God’s help, mind you). The chess tournaments are held every Friday evening at a local McDonalds. There are about 40 to 50 kids that show up every Friday night from 7:00 to 9:00, cost $5.00 to enter. And he has won at least 6 trophies. I normally stay and hang out with the parents, but this day, I needed to go do a RAK while I had time that evening. But, look how good God is…I didn’t have to leave the parking lot. As I pulled out of my parking space, headed past the strip mall, I came across a man walking, trying to cross the parking lot. I stopped my car and motioned for him to walking in front of me. He refused, so I motioned again. He again refused. That’s when I rowed down the passenger window and asked him jokingly, not to block my blessing, and to accept blessing from other people. The brother then said, “Black people don’t help each other, that’s why he was hesitant to walk in front of my car.” Of course, that made me pull into a parking spot and get out to talk to the brother. His name was Shawn Gatling from New York, Staten Island. He said he was a door-to-door salesman and how sales were really bad that day, but that God, had been with him keeping him safe and he was pleased with that. That was my kind of language, giving praise and honor to God. So, I asked him how important it was to believe God and Holy Spirit. I pulled out a $20 bill and told him to have a Blessed evening. Before I could finish shaking his hand. I felt Holy Spirit tell me, “That’s not why I had you stop. Give him the whole $200 RAK”. So, I asked him for the $20 back and reached back in my car to get the RAK envelope. He couldn’t believe that I asked for my $20 back, then handed him $200. I told him that’s what God looks like. He was blown away. I told him that God loves him and that God sent me there to deliver this to him. I told him that God wanted me to make sure I told him who it was from. Not from me, I’m just the messenger…it was from The God who loves him.
