Food Town – Huffmeister & Cypress North Houston
It had been a while since my last Random Act of Kindness. Funds were extremely limited, and I truly believed I wouldn’t be able to complete another RAK until sometime in 2026.
But God had other plans.
While sorting through some old papers, I came across an envelope clearly labeled “RAKs.” Inside was $200. Immediately, a familiar voice surfaced — not God’s voice, but self. It said, “It’s Christmas time. Here’s an extra $200. You deserve a little relief after all the holiday spending.”
I knew better.
God made it clear this was no accident and no coincidence. The envelope wasn’t labeled Bills, Christmas, or Emergency. It was labeled RAKs. That money had a purpose long before I rediscovered it. If it were meant for anything else, it wouldn’t have been there — labeled and waiting.
So I smiled, got in the car, and headed to Food Town, trusting God to reveal who this act of kindness was meant for.
If I had sat with God on November 5, 1962 — the day before I entered this world — and asked Him about December 24, 2025, He could have told me exactly where I would be. He would have said:
“I’m sending you to a store called Food Town in Cypress, Texas. There, you will meet David, Christine, and their daughter Katy.”
David works at Chapel Wood United Methodist, and he and his wife Christine had been praying for a small financial Christmas miracle.
God allowed me to be the delivery vessel — for Him and from Him who sent me.
Praise the Lord.
