11th RAK – Pastor Betty Owens-Clark

11th RAK – 9 May 2016; 11:10 am

  • Kroger Grocery Store, corner of Bellaire and Post Oak. I just finished up  a board meeting for the Houston Black Real Estate Association.  Something about food stores and being able to guess where life is taking people by their demeanor at the grocery store.  Their groceries in the basket, what they wear, how they look.  As I got out of my car, I immediately saw a lady walking to her car.  I asked the Holy Spirit if that was her.  The interesting part is that I didn’t feel lead either way.  So before I left the parking lot, I turned around and walked back to her.  I said hello and asked what church she attended.  When she said, “I don’t attend church” I knew just then, why I didn’t feel anything.  I told her that God loves her and she should find a good church. I turned around and headed into the store.  As I turned I saw an older lady heading toward me.  She had a walker in her cart and was headed to her car parked in the first handicap spot.  I asked the Holy Spirit if that was who I was supposed to help.  This time the Holy Spirit said YES.  I walked up and introduce myself, told her what I was there for and handed her the $200.  Well it turns out that she was a Pastor.  She told me how her and her sisters have a Gospel Group called the Owens Sisters and how much she needed the money right now.  I almost walked back to the car and get her another RAK. Praise the Lord!!
